Gateway to the West
We made it past the St. Louis Arch today! We toasted to all those explorers who came before us and, in good seafaring fashion, we shared some of our toast with Poseidon by splashing a little over the side.
Man! The river near St. Louis is so busy! Barges and barges and barges! Some of them moving, some moored along the shore, and some anchored in the middle: all with traffic flowing around them. It was quite the feat navigating our lil Dagny through it all.
Tonight we are anchored off the river in a quiet little river away from the craziness of the Mississippi. All is well.
Am I allowed a question a day? Rob is now engaged too! What is the plan for hurricane season? Do you fish? Can you eat River fish? Your description of the River is wild. 20,000 steps -I get that now. The barges-WOW. You really are like Lewis and Clark!
